After years and years of what can only be described as disrespect, Beyoncé finally has a waxwork that doesn’t look like a demon sent from hell. Hallelujah!
Australia managed to get perfect replicas of Lady Gaga and Britney but couldn’t do justice to Beyoncé?
Beyoncé has been done dirty in the past.
But finally, in the year 2019, Madame Tussauds has given Beyoncé what she truly deserves — an almost-perfect replica based on her 2018 Coachella performance.
The one on the left is the waxwork FYI.
On closer inspection, the waxwork is incredibly detailed, including the now-iconic yellow Balmain crop-top hoodie and iridescent knee-high boots.
This is the Bey we know and bow down to. And the icon’s mom, Tina Lawson, agrees, writing on Instagram
Beyoncé is, quite obviously, a queen. The Queen Bey, to be precise. And now famed wax museum has formally acknowledged what the rest of the world has long known: that Beyoncé is a queen on par with actual British royalty.
To make things even better, Madame Tussauds has added Beyoncé into their royal lineup “to celebrate her musical royalty”.
For a temporary exhibition, the museum placed a new Beyoncé statue dead center in its display of royals, right in between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. They moved Queen Elizabeth II somewhere else.
The waxwork is refreshingly lifelike; it actually really, really looks like Beyoncé, unlike Madame Tussaud’s previous iteration of the God-like star. The last version looked like a white woman who bore little to none resemblance to Bey, a terrible error that the museum blamed on poor lighting. The whole thing was upsetting.
It’s about time they got it right!
