Nearly a year in the making, Beyonce is now the sole owner of her athleisure line Ivy Park.
According to Vibe, the “Pretty Hurts” singer ended her business partnership with the brand’s co-founder Philip Green. The items were sold at Topshop, which Green owns under the clothing store juggernaut Arcadia Group.
The news arrives weeks after various groups called for Beyonce’s decision to end her dealings with Green.
The 66-year-old Englishman currently faces allegations of racial abuse and sexual harassment which were uncovered in an eight-month investigation by The Telegraph. The instances were made known by his staff.
In 2016 Beyonce launched Ivy Park, telling Elle that it serves to promote the inner beauty within women.
“It’s really the essence to celebrate every woman and the body she’s in while always striving to be better,” she said. “…It’s not about perfection. It’s about purpose. We have to care about our bodies and what we put in them.”
