Nelly has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the sexual assault case brought against him by a 21-year-old college student.

According to TMZ, the alleged victim refused to cooperate with Washington state prosecutors, which reportedly has made it difficult to proceed and charge the rapper with a crime.

The unidentified woman accused Nelly of assaulting her on his tour bus in Seattle back in October. She later told police that she didn’t wanna press charges.

“She wishes she had not called 911 because she believes the system is going to fail her,” a statement from the alleged victim’s lawyer said. “She never wanted notoriety. She never wanted a dime from that man. She wants to go back to school and to graduate.”

Nelly’s attorney said he is a “victim of a completely fabricated allegation.”
