Forced child begging is normal for these boys. Humanity is at risk and we need to bring awareness to this illegal practice.

An estimated 50,000 boys in #Senegal living in traditional Quranic schools are forced by their teachers to beg for daily quotas of money, rice, or sugar. In June 2016, the government launched a program intended to crack down on forced child begging. But Human Rights Watch documented ongoing exploitation, violence, chaining, imprisonment, sexual abuse, and even deaths at several schools. Not a single Quranic teacher was arrested or prosecuted for forced begging during the program's first year. The government should investigate and prosecute abusive teachers, and ensure that no child picked up while begging is returned to any abusive Quranic school. #humanrights #hrw #ForcedChildBegging #talibés
