Jurors were unable to convict or acquit actor and comedian Bill Cosby on Saturday, leaving social media users with feelings ranging from vindication for “America’s Dad” to outrage.
Judge Steven O’Neill declared a mistrial in the case after jurors said they were hopelessly deadlocked on a verdict. It marks the end of a 10-day trial in which Cosby, 79, faced a charge of aggravated indecent sexual assault. Prosecutors said they will retry the case.
